Okay, I figure I've posted enough pics of the kids that I can get away with one still life this evening...these are my squares before I assembled them. Sadly, the assembly was kind of a disaster...I think my problem is that I'm sewing really un-straight seams. I've never worked with such small squares before (these are 2.5 inches), and little mistakes seem to really add up. The final product might be usable...but then again, it might not. I was planning on making a table runner...I've got more squares cut already, so I'm going to give it another go. Time to figure out how to sew straight seams...I might try out a 1/4 inch seam guide for my sewing machine foot.
