Grammy and Grampa visited us recently on their extended vacation touring the United States. This gave all of us a chance to spend some time together as one big family, with Ian and Krista and Forest nearby in Carlsbad. We spent lots of late afternoons hanging out in our backyard, enjoying pizza and beer (and maybe a Moscow Mule/Dublin Donkey or two--Happy Saint Paddy's Day!) and lots of bouncy house time. On this particular afternoon, the sun did us a favor by staying out, and Parker elected to make name tags for the kids' table all by himself. It was a very sweet and thoughtful gesture :)

Happy 3rd Birthday Forest!
We celebrated Forest's 3rd birthday with the family on a beautiful sunny day at Quail. I'm so happy that we were all able to be together on this special occasion! And we managed to get a few shots of the three cousins together...mostly all looking normal at the same time ;)
Think It's Haircut Time?
Levi's hair grows like a weed, and I just can't keep up with trimming it often (or well) enough. Consequently, he's always got this giant mop of hair on his head. He is always willing and eager to try just about anything, and wants to do whatever we are doing, so he has asked from time to time to have a rubber band in his hair like Mommy. Since he's got such a vast canvas of hair to work with, I got a little creative one evening...it's a good thing we don't have a girl :) He loved his hair like this, so much in fact that I was afraid he was going to demand to wear it like this often and in public! Luckily, he eventually let me take out the rubber bands, and forgot to ask for them again by the next morning.
