Spring Morning

Rainy Monday

We had a nice rainy day today. Levi put on Parker's rain boots and went to town jumping in the huge puddle that always forms at the end of our driveway. I actually just ordered him his first pair of rain boots last night, and he can hardly wait for them to arrive--he was already checking the mailbox this morning!

And thank you to Grammy for sending the boys awesome new books! Finding this in the mailbox more than made up for the rain boots not being in there! The books were absolutely perfect for each of the boys, and totally made their day. Thank you! 

That is a 100% genuine smile you see on his face. He was so thrilled.

I took a really cute video of Levi playing with the sound buttons on his Thomas book, but can't figure out how to upload it yet...he was very animated and excited.

Too...Many...Pictures...

Okay, so now my problem is that I want to take pictures of every single thing we do in a day...talk about overload. I'm guessing that the newness and novelty of my snazzy new phone will eventually wear off, and I won't end up blogging about every move we make. Until I reach that point, may I present to you: the last two days:

Parker stayed home sick again on Friday. He was starting to get bored, but he didn't have the energy to actually do much. So we ended up laying around the backyard with blankets and Legos, and Levi played in our little pop-up playhouse.

When the backyard got boring, I hauled the kids around the neighborhood in the wagon.

We visited the goats that live at the end of our street. Parker apparently knows a very effective goat call.

And then when Jared got home from work, all of the boys got busy removing a yucca stump from the front yard.

Hard to believe that we found out today that this boy has strep throat! He got a crazy burst of energy last night.

And of course Levi had to dive right in to the work.

Can't be safe...but was fun!

And Levi is officially sick of me taking pictures of him with my phone.

I'll have to start reigning in the picture taking. Hey, just be glad I didn't post the picture I took of the beer I had last night! I couldn't help it--it was delicious!

Sick Boy

Parker started feeling really sick last night--sore throat, fever, headache--so he stayed home from school today. I halfheartedly tried to separate the boys on the couch during cartoon time this morning, hoping to keep Levi from getting sick too. Sadly, if he's gonna get it, he's gonna get it.

Parker was pretty okay during most of the day today, but he really crashed by about 5:00 this evening. We went to the harbor to enjoy a quick dinner and the sunset, but he ended up falling asleep in the car instead. Poor guy. I'm guessing that he will be home sick again tomorrow. At least he should have plenty of time to get healthy before the Kindergarten field trip to Legoland next week!

We went to Quail today after Parker's short day at school. We missed the Sanderson Family! Aloha to you all!

It was the perfect opportunity to play around with the camera on my phone--I've always liked the look of Hipstamatic pics, so I did some experimenting. Somehow it seems to make everything look more artsy...
