More from 3

Post-birthday celebration at preschool (finishing off a leftover homemade banana blueberry muffin).

Post-birthday monster truck madness! Apparently, a boy can never have too many monster trucks :)

Autumn Wagon Ride

After enjoying a handful of warm, sunny  days, we had a cold, blustery day today. I finally convinced Levi to let me take him for a wagon ride so that we could get out of the house for a little while this afternoon. He's suddenly been really into his doll (named Baby) lately, so we bundled her up and belted her in and brought her along. I also tied a piece of yarn on to one of his new big monster trucks, and he watched as it followed behind us the whole way.

Three Years Old!

We celebrated Levi's birthday last weekend with a perfect, beautiful, warm, windless day on Mission Bay. We had a very simple family get-together on the beach, it was just right for keeping the work down and the fun up. The kids were super happy to keep busy playing in the sand in between opening presents and eating berry tart a.k.a. cake. Thanks to everyone for joining us! And Happy Third Birthday to Levi!

What a handsome three-year old!

Uncle Nate took the Sabot out for a spin.

Parker was very actively involved in helping Levi unwrap his presents...

We picked up a last minute berry tart at the French Bakery in Carlsbad...it was delicious (and so easy to make!).

Hanging out on the beach at sunset.

Jared brought in the most gigantic kelp that any of us had ever seen--it was truly amazing.

Hauling in the giant kelp.

Beautiful and amazing!

Monster Jam Dance-a-Thon

This is the music that plays during the credits at the end of Levi's favorite Monster Jam video. He does this same dance every time...these are what I interpret as his "cool guy" moves. I'm glad I finally got it on video!

Happy Halloween!

The reality of pumpkin carving with little kids...

Everything is more fun with popcorn! Carving pumpkins with Dad has become our Halloween tradition.

Neither kid was willing to stick their hands in pumpkin guts! Here's Jared showing how it's done.

Results! Parker's was a ninja, and Levi's is a good old fashioned happy jack o'lantern.

Two of the three boys all dressed up. Levi felt good about wearing the Superman costume to his preschool party, and Jared dressed up like a guy that he works with who also happens to be a country musician...everyone at his office dressed up like someone else at work. Funny!

Parker's sugar skull decoration for his Day of the Dead celebration at school.
