Checking in With Levi

This video is a little long, but we have realized that we don't have nearly as much video footage of Levi as we took of Parker during his first years. Levi's growing up and changing so quickly that before we know it, he's not going to be this goofy little baby child that he is right now. I shot a little video of him on the evening of his first day alone at preschool--he was still pretty jacked up with energy and excitement, so he's a little silly. But I was so excited that he has learned how to spell his name! (Which, incidentally, I do not attribute to one day at preschool ;) )

He was pretty stoked on the bikes, although his feet can't quite reach the pedals and he only has balance bike experience! But we figured out that he can just push with his feet like his balance bike and still make it around the track.

He also cited this bridge as one of his favorite things on the playground.

Sailing in the Harbor

We took our Montgomery 12 out for a sail in the harbor late yesterday afternoon. It's been so hot here that we were anxious to get out on the water to cool off; there was just about zero wind, so we felt lucky to make it out to the little beach in the harbor to play and back to the launch ramp before dark! Jared dropped me and the boys off on the sand while he sailed around so I could take some pictures of the boat on the water--that's him behind the boys while they're playing :) Back on the beach, Jared found a sea star on the rocks for the boys to check out, which was a treat.

Ready for Preschool!

Levi is looking so handsome and grown up with his new haircut! I told him that he needed to look like a big boy for preschool (and he is heavily invested in identifying as a "big boy"), and he was totally game. As this was only his second "real" haircut, I opted for a kids' haircutters (thanks also to a recommendation from cousin Forest), complete with cartoon, fancy car to sit in, and balloon and tattoo at the end. Levi sat still as a statue to entire time, and I love the cut. He seriously is such a handsome big boy! He told me that he's all ready for preschool...he starts on Tuesday!!
